On 13 September 2017, the SAFETY Award “Spezialtiefbau” (special heavy construction) was presented for the second time at the General Meeting of the BFA Spezialtiefbau (Federal Department of Special Civil Engineering). For the valuation period 2016, FRANKI Grundbau GmbH & Co. KG, a subsidiary of PORR Deutschland GmbH, took second place just behind the winner. The award recognises special heavy construction companies for their above-average success in preventing accidents at work on construction sites.
The SAFETY Award 2017 was presented for the second time in a row at the meeting of BFA Spezialtiefbau of the Hauptverband der Deutschen Bauindustrie (Association of the German Construction Industry). Around 40 companies are represented in BFA Spezialtiefbau, representing 80% of the total turnover in special heavy construction in Germany. As in the previous year, FRANKI was awarded silver.
Safety has the highest priority
Occupational safety is a top priority at FRANKI. Ensuring the safety and health of all employees is an important corporate objective.
Prevention throughout all project phases
FRANKI has been SCC** certified for 15 years and has since been supported by an internal safety engineer. This ensures early involvement in projects and the various phases. In addition, short decision paths and collegial cooperation with all project participants support this important topic. The fact that the average accident frequency per million working hours has been undercut for many years underlines the success and effectiveness of the measures.
